Bits of Design Treasure

This time around, I have some really exciting stuff to share!

775216816I added some new deals on the Materials page in case you haven’t seen it yet. (I personally got a couple rolls of that trash paper for my next design project!)

I’m also researching to find a new source for getting high quality leather. If you know of any good places, please comment below and I’ll be sure to give you (or your social media handle/blog name/etc) a shout out in my next post!

Since technology seems to be a continuous topic when it comes to design, I’ll mention this little bit I saw on how Apple may upgrade their next Macbook’s and Macbook Pros. I strongly think it could be in response to the statement by the Founder of Oculus, Palmer Luckey, but then again it could just be that they are working on something bigger. Apple is just about to make a deal to bring their GPU design in-house. This will not only increase the graphics of future notebooks, but it could also play a vital role in how Apple enters the Virtual Reality scene that is quickly gaining momentum.

As far as Architecture goes, there is a neat project in Granada, Spain that uses a very fluid aesthetic on the side of the mountain. Literally… see the pictures below.

The Architect is GilBartolome Architects. The plot of land rests on a 42 degree incline overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. You can see more pictures and information here.

I hope you enjoy these tidbits of design treasure. Did I leave anything out this time? Let me know!

P.S. After some feedback and some long thought, I’ve decided that I’m going to begin a newsletter! This won’t just be any newsletter, but rather a curated source of news about design, interesting gadgets & where to get some great deals on supplies that you may need now or for your next project. If this sounds interesting to you, be sure to sign up either here.
